Production Notes

Technical: colour, shot on S16mm, 18 mins

Casting the character of ex rocker Des Gilroy proved difficult until Patrick came up with the idea of asking legendary guitarist Mick Green to consider the role, which he did and to our delight carried it off brilliantly. Mick was a long term member of The Pirates and a former member of Johnny Kidd and The Pirates before sadly taken from us in January 2010.

The Furious (credited as The Spoils) from Liverpool played the young rock band in the film and did a terrific job.

Raspberry Ripple was filmed over 4 days in the late summer of 2005; 3 days in South, Central & East London and 1 day in Chelmsford. Scenes from the film were filmed in a variety of locations which included Gayfere Road in Surrey, Park Road in Chelmsford, St Mary’s church Neasden, The Borderline club in Tottenham Court Road and The Mildmay Mission Hospital in East London.

Raspberry Ripple had a working title of  The Wheelchair Warrior.
